HIPPICUM
in L. Solonis, apud Plutarch. Ο῞που μέν ἐςτι φρέαρ εντὸς Ι῾ππικοῦ, χρῆςθαι τούτῳ, ὅπου δὲ πλεῖον ἀπεῖχε, ζητεῖν ὕδωρ ἴδιον. Publico puteo, qui intra Hippicum sit, utuntor; si maius sit intervallum, privatum sibi quisque effodiunto: eidem Auctori stadiorum quatuor intervallum est. Hesych. vero unius tantum stadii facit, Ι῾ππικὸν, τὸ ςτάδιον: quod Petitus praefert notatione nominis, nam videtut esse illud intervallum, quod sine ulla intermissione equus conficit et decurrit.
